Amplifiers: Atlanta -- A Content-Creating and Community-Building Cohort

Are you a climate activist, content creator, or home upgrade enthusiast? Do you want to use your skills and network to help the climate? We've got a program for you!

Wow, cool! What’s the program?

Amplifiers: Atlanta is a PAID weekend workshop designed to inspire and equip local leaders like you  who are based in Georgia. Co-created and co-directed by national nonprofits Generation180 and Rewiring America, the program trains participants about the benefits of clean energy and electrification. It fosters community and empowers community leaders and content creators to spread the word and activate their networks. The workshop will take place on the weekend of April 26 and 27, 2025. Important: you must be in-person in Atlanta on Saturday (4/26) from 9 AM - 5 PM and Sunday (4/27) from 9 AM - 1 PM to participate.

Why is this important?

Unfortunately, not enough Georgians know about the benefits that clean energy brings to homes and communities. Switching to solar, electric cars, heat pumps, and other electric appliances saves money on energy costs, creates jobs, cuts climate-harming pollution, and improves health in communities.

Studies show that when individuals discuss these climate solutions with people they know, their neighbors and friends are more likely to pay attention and take action. This makes sense. Your friends and neighbors trust you! Amplifiers: Atlanta taps into that trust by training community builders and content creators about clean energy, and giving them action steps they can take locally.

Who can take part in this workshop?

We’re looking for two types of folks: community builders and content creators.

Community Builders (15 spots)

  • You are passionate about climate and clean energy and have started taking action in your home, and local community, or both. You’re part of a strong, active network of people in Georgia.

Content Creators (15 spots)

  • You are a Georgia-based content creator, influencer, comedian, filmmaker, or artist who creates videos and is passionate about using your skills to take climate action. No prior knowledge of climate solutions or clean energy is required.

This sounds cool, and it’s paid?

Yes!

All participants will receive a $1,000 stipend for taking part in the training.

Content creators will be awarded an additional $1,000 for one piece of video content after the training.

Selected participants are responsible for their own travel and arrangements to/from the Atlanta training site on April 26 and 27, as well as any lodging accommodation expenses, if needed.
